Where do I begin...My love for photography, paper, scrap booking, digital design, and being creative led me to begin From My Heart. Four years ago, after making some cards for my children‘s parties, I decided to start a business, and design cards for others. I love to design cards that are unique and to create them around a picture. Much like my scrap booking, I like the whole card to be the design. I am a perfectionist, and will work on my designs until they are perfect.
Our cards are printed 2 ways, they are professionally photo processed, or they are digitally printed on heavyweight cardstock. We have recently created a new style card, called the Z–card which is also known as an accordion card. This new card allows for the use of several pictures, and when displayed will show all 3 panels at once. I am always thinking of something that I would like to create, so be sure to check the site often, as I will continue to create new card styles.
We will be launching a set of personalized birthday cards this Spring, that will be wonderful for children going to birthday parties. The sets are called Grab & Go Cards and come in sets of 10, with 5 different designs, 2 of each. They are designed to be personalized by your child, including spaces to write their name, their friends name, and age. They are perfect for Moms on the move, and will be a great time saver! I am a mother of 3, and get a lot of my inspiration and ideas from my 2 sons, daughter, and my Husband. We are a typical busy family, I have heard before that when you have children, the days are long, and the years are short. I hope that the cards I create help capture moments, that may otherwise be lost in the busy days that we all have.
I like to work with each customer one on one, to create a special card that is exactly what they want. I had someone ask me once, "Did I really think it was worth it to send/create custom cards"? "Since most people throw them out anyway?" I replied that a card is something from you that is representative of who you are. It is the feeling your friend or family member gets when they open your card or invitation that will be remembered forever.
When I began designing my own cards, the calls I received each time from my guests, raving about how cute they were, was all the inspiration I needed to continue with my dream.
